Artist's Comments

Scrooge entered timidly, and hung his head before this Spirit. He was not the dogged Scrooge he had been; and though the Spirit's eyes were clear and kind, he did not like to meet them.

"I am the Ghost of Christmas Present," said the Spirit. "Look upon me."

Scrooge reverently did so. It was clothed in one simple green robe, or mantle, bordered with white fur. This garment hung so loosely on the figure, that its capacious breast was bare, as if disdaining to be warded or concealed by any artifice. Its feet, observable beneath the ample folds of the garment, were also bare; and on its head it wore no other covering than a holly wreath, set here and there with shining icicles. Its dark brown curls were long and free; free as its genial face, its sparkling eye, its open hand, its cheery voice, its unconstrained demeanour, and its joyful air. Girded round its middle was an antique scabbard; but no sword was in it, and the ancient sheath was eaten up with rust.

"You have never seen the like of me before!" exclaimed the Spirit.

"Never," Scrooge made answer to it.

-Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol"

My version of the Ghost. There are even tiny little Ignorance and Want beneath the skirts, demon like instead of childlike cause I'm lazy like that. Flames of cheer in her hands, Holly in her hair, and a sword sheath on her waist. WILL BE COLORED.

She's beautiful! Almost makes me upset that I'm an old dead man. XD Nah. Don't mind me. But I do still think your ghost is pretty.

*Rabbit: (to Eeyore) Well, if you're not going to cheer up, I have better things to do... gardening and cleaning and putting up curtains so Tigger can't see into my kitchen anymore. Good-bye.
*Piglet: I think Rabbit's a little cross

This is cool. I like all the detail you put into it. When I was in eighth grade, four years ago I think, we read that book and then watched one of the movie adaptions. The ghost of Christmas Present was this giant guy with a beard, and the little children were really dirty and creepy-looking.

The only reason Jonathan Crane carries a briefcase instead of a purse is because he's a doctor - and he knows it, too!

Why thank you dearest. :D Glad you like it. I've always been a huge fan of Dickens, for a long, long time, and many other classics. I'm not actually sure where the reference for the three of us came about, but it has stuck and is now evolving. You should check my journal and get involved with my project in December. Always us a good writer/artist. You can do either.

Want and Ignorance are FREAKY! That is all.

I am not a man.

That is really all, I promise this time.
